Erick Avari began acting when he was nine years old working for the legendary Indian Film Director Satyajit Ray.  Since then he has undertaken a great variety of work.  As well as appearing in blockbuster movies (Stargate, Independance day) he has an extensive theatrical background and has appeared in plays such as "a Midsummer nights dream", "Rasputin" and the hit broadway revival of "The King and I".  TV fans may also recognise him from appearances in Star trek: DS9 and Ellen.
Avari's work has led to a lot of global travel and he speaks several languages, including Nepali, Hindi and Genbali.

Erick Avari can currently be seen guest starring in the current series of Stargate SG-1 as Kasuf.
